Meditations and Tools
Readers have been asking me about the meditations and techniques I use in my daily practices with clients and myself. Here are a few of my favorites. Please let me know what you think, how these meditations could be improved for you and what else you’d like to hear or see!
Grounding Your Energetic Self
One of the most important things to do every day is to ground our energy - especially in today’s harem scarem world. It’s so easy to lose ourselves as be-ings in the energy of do-ing. Grounding keeps us centered in our own truth, our own energy - and allows us to release all the energy of others that we pick up as we move through our days. Have you ever felt the anger of the guy sitting next to you on the train? That’s someone else’s emotional energy that you’re collecting into your own energy system. we all do it - grounding helps us release all that energy so that we can remain in our pure, authentic selves.
I do this simple meditation every morning. I also do it through the day if I feel like I’m out of my center. It takes 8-10 minutes and is the only way to start your Thriving day!
Thriving in Your Own Frequency
Every day, Quantum theory, physics and other scientific venues are finding more evidence in support of the Law of Attraction (LOA), ourselves as energy beings and so much more. Did you know that scientists have now proven LOA at the particle level of matter? When scientists looked through a powerful beyond imagination microscope at a single particle within an atom - those who expected to see a particle saw a particle - or matter. However, those who expected to see a wave, or energy - saw a wave. The significance of this discovery continues to blow my mind.
The particle level is where energy becomes matter - where we literally create the physical manifestation out of the energy. And at this level - we see what we expect to see. Amazing evidence for the fact that we do, indeed, create every manifestation of life in our physical plane, based on what we expect. Our of the limitless selection of outcomes - we choose our path through life based on what we expect.
This little meditation is a variation on one I learned in a powerful book called Frequency. I use it to return to the energetic place that I call my true home…. the frequency where I am united with the truth that I am, indeed, a limitless, powerful creator.
Releasing Scary Voices
We all have scary voices - those pesky beliefs that nag nag nag us into being less than we are created to be. What I didn’t know for decades is that those voices are energy signatures left by a traumatic event. Remember - trauma doesn’t have to be the Big Bang. Something as simple as falling down in front of others who laugh when you’re five years old can create the energetic signature of a voice that says, “I’m so clumsy.” It really IS that simple sometimes.
This little meditation guides us to recognize and release all the voices that aren’t part of our authentic selves - without having to go through a lot of effort picking our way into and through them. We don’t even have to listen to them - ever again!
I do this meditation at least once a week to keep the cobwebs cleared out. You may be amazed who and what you find lurking in your Thriving Space!
Finding Your True Self
One of the simplest truths I’ve learned is that our truth, our power and our essential self lies just beyond our scary voices and programming. Modern therapy spends so much time focusing on those scary voices - reliving, replaying them. All that does is reinforce the voices…it doesn’t serve to empower our authemtic selves.
Instead, I’ve learned to use the scary voices as fuel to move into my authentic, soulful self. By settling into the scary voices, following them into my body, into the sensations those voices create, the emotions they trigger - I’ve learned to flow beyond the fear and into the wisdom, the truth that is living in my energetic self.
This meditation guides us to do just that. You can repeat it again and again for the same scary voice, moving through your body until you release all of the energetic tentacles that programmed fear creates. I use this meditation whenever I catch myself in what I call my Flinch state - holding my breath, scary voices running rampant, feeling doom and gloom all around.
